Position Summary:

The Application Developer is a member of the company’s Cloud Team supporting front-end and back-end development. This position works closely with the App dev team members, business analysts, cloud engineers, architects and other key stakeholders within the Information Technology team along with the business to create innovative and scalable solutions that drive the business objectives forward.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based scalable application in Azure infrastructure

  • Leverage serverless computing and microservices architecture

  • Create front-end development, back-end integration and hosting applications

  • Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of Azure applications

  • Build applications with Single Sign-on (SSO) using Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), open authorization (oAuth), OpenID Connect (OIDC), etc.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional Information Technology teams, including business analysts, cloud engineers, architects, and other team members to translate business requirements into technical solutions

  • Implement best practices for cloud application development, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and automated testing

  • Ensure all applications are available and multi-level Disaster Recovery (DR) is built into application planning and development

  • Build Application Programming Interface (APIs) and other forms of integration across various applications using MuleSoft, etc.

  • Offer technical expertise and support of the company’s applications as needed

  • Represent the team with regards to Change Management and Change Board activities

  • Document requirements, user stories, technical documents and training documents, etc.

  • Stay current with Microsoft tools, Azure technologies, industry trends, best practices, etc.

  • Other projects or duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or in a related discipline, 3 plus years ofexperience as an Application Developer with expertise in front-end and back-end development or HS Diploma and 6 plus years of experience as an Application Developer with expertise in front-end and back-end development

  • Experience of working with Azure DevOps and tools for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD)

  • Experience with Azure services, i.e., Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure AD, ACS, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Log Monitoring services, etc.

  • Strong proficiency in front-end technologies, i.e., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks, i.e., React, Angular, Vue, etc.

  • Proficiency in back-end technologies, i.e., Node.js, Python, C#, Java, etc.,

  • Experience with databases, i.e., SQL, NoSQL, etc.

  • Experience with microservices architecture, API design, and implementation using RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, etc.

  • Experience with DevOps, agile, waterfall, and Kanban processes

  • Knowledge of Active Directory and other Identity management systems

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and abilityto articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

  • Detail oriented mindset

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills

  • Travel up to 15%

  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 1 plus years of experience working with Azure DevOps and tools for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD)

  • Experience as application developer with a focus on Microsoft Azure, low-code/No-code environments such as PowerPlatform, MuleSoft, etc.

  • Mobile application development experience

  • Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and GitHub repos

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

  • Experience with AI tools

  • Certification in Azure and other development platforms
