Position Summary: In this pivotal role, you will provide comprehensive HR support to employees and managers, ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures. The HR Advisor will handle employee relations, talent management, performance management, and compliance matters. You will act as a key point of contact for HR-related inquiries, offering guidance and support to foster a positive and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of HR best practices, and a commitment to promoting a fair and inclusive workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries from the site.

  • Administer corporate driven HR projects e.g. Employee Engagement and Ethics with the site senior management teams and employees.

  • Assist in the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.

  • Responsibility of compliance e.g. new starter documentation checks, agency audits

  • Maintain and update employee records and trackers (manual and electronic) and files when required.

  • Carry out any general administration duties e.g. filing, photocopying as and when required.

  • Administer agency audits in line with the Company requirement.

  • Provide confidential advice, support and guidance to site managers and employees in accordance with company policies and procedures and legislative requirements.

Qualifications

Employee Relations

  • Take ownership and responsibility for the case management of all Employment Relations and Family Friendly cases, ensuring all associated actions are logged.

  • Provide expert advice on specific Employee Relations issues and coach DC managers in the appropriate actions to take, in line with the current UK Employment Legislations and Martin Brower policies and procedures.

  • Support, advise and coach managers in relation to employee performance and capability issues.

  • Provide HR support to the DC management team with change management initiatives e.g. restructures, changes to terms and conditions etc, under the guidance of the Senior HR Manager, preparing documentation and note taking in consultation meetings.
